Following the recent parish council meeting I am pleased to announce the Rachel Wright has been appointed as Chair and Temi okenLa as Vice Chair.

The annual meeting of the parish will take place at 7.00 PM on Thursday 23rd May in the village hall.

This meeting gives all residents and community groups and, importantly, the parish council, the opportunity to inform their community as to what is available in their area and update residents of their activities for the previous and forthcoming year.

Wine and nibbles will be available at 7.00 PM.

A meeting of the parish council will take place on the 23 May at 7.30 PM in the village hall.

Ratcliffe on the Wreake have been invited to take part in Leicestershire County Council & Leicestershire Police's Community Speedwatch programme in May. This will allow us to carry out speed patrols in the village and report the results to Leicestershire Police, for the purposes of delivering some words of advice to the registered keeper of the vehicle.

Charnwood Borough Council and the Environment Agency will be holding a drop-in session for residents, regarding flooding, on 20th March at Syston Community Centre, between 2-7pm.

The parish council have installed a dog waste bin next to the grit bin opposite the Church gate on Main Street.

We do hope that all dog walkers will make the most of disposing of their dog waste in this.
